Red WIngs Climbing Out Of Slump

Two big wins in a row now in which the Red WIngs have scored five goals.

I guess you would call it rebounding, with some high velocity, after a six-game skid during which the team tallied just six goals.

Yeah, sweet sassy molassy the Red Wings are back to winning form.

The OIlers head to town Friday, and will give Detroit a handful physically. The young Edmonton squad is looking to make a run at the playoffs.

Yeah, maybe that will happen, Nikolai Khabibulin is like 80 though. So, I'm not sure he will last long enough.

Here's to Valtteri Filppula not playing like a child for once this season. He was hitting the Avalanche players Tuesday night and chasing puck into the corners.

He earned two points. Imagine that.

Red Wings In 4-Game Slump; OMG This Sucks

Yeah, four games and not a win.

What's worse: The Red Wings can't seem to find the back of the net. It's unconscionable.

Four games and a few goals. So many goals against.

Yeah, it's frustrating to watch and the catalyst is tough to pinpoint.

At this point, I wouldn't panic. In a few weeks, if the Red Wings are playing below .500 hockey ... panic mode.

And at that point in the hypothetical future, I would be interested in some big moves in the lineup, and maybe some preparations for a trade.

Yes, trade some of these guys who are useless right now. Guys like Valtteri Filppula, Johan Franzen, and dare I say Henrik Zetterberg or Pavel Datsyuk?

Well, maybe not a move to dissemble the team, but something big. The offense is weak.

Hopefully they all turn it around and none of that has to happen (except maybe the Franzen trade, he pisses me off).
